The ship L'Amitié was one of the seven ships that transported the Acadians from France to Louisiana.  It left France on August 20, 1785 and arrived in Louisiana on November 8, 1785.  The image is taken from page 67 of the book From Nantes to Louisiana by Gérard-Marc Braud.
